A Carelessly Coded Videogame

A void of blue;

Depicting the absence of white and speckles of moving grey.

A lack of pedestrians-

counterbalanced by overcrowded vehicles consuming the tan highway.

Traffic, entertained by the billboards advertising already-established brands

A sea of beige

cookie-cutter houses,

so dull and unexpressive,

Every turn made to the next street was so reminiscent of the previous.

Road signs are excessively named with sunset.

And traffic lights that switch between red-green without counting down the seconds…

Red, white and blue,

striped and starred,

hoisted along every other property

Flags that flutter against tiny breaths of wind

Yet the palm trees alongside them- so bare and so thin- stand ever so still…
